Concrete pavers vs clay pavers

In the Perth metro area there is a lot of companies that make pavers and there is a ample supply of different pavers available for the individual to choose from. The two main materials that the pavers are made from in the Perth metro area are concrete and clay. There are disadvantages ad advantages for each of these materials and there is similarities as well. I think that the choice really comes down to personal preference made by the individual.

The clay paver is known to have better colour retention this is because of the way that the clay bricks are made in the kiln and also the fact that they are not as prone to fading as concrete, also the clay paver is more porous then the concrete paver and therefore is more capable of handling stains better due to the fact that the stain fades quicker. Also everyone likes that timeless look that the clay brick so effortlessly exudes.

There are however some drawbacks for the clay paver. The clay paver there is not as many choices as the concrete pavers as far as the size is concerned. There is no exposed aggregate clay paver like there is in the concrete pavers. There is less clay colours then there is concrete.

The concrete paver is a completely artificial creation. This allows for more variations and colours this means more variety in terms of size texture as well. The concrete paver is known for being more of cosmopolitan paver that has the ability to be more flexible and achieve the more architect look where as the clay paver is a lot more the cottage look.

The concrete pavers are not so good when it comes to fading also getting marks of them is harder as well. The concrete paver will also look more artificial and it is therefore important to ensure that the environment fits their ascetic values.

The paver’s concrete and clay look great in the correct environment and have the ability to really enhance the values of the property in a functional and aesthetic way.
